I heard that maybe I make everything here sound like beaches and classrooms.
and that simply isn't so.
I have a whole other aspect to my weekdays, and its something I like to call the light of my life.
not actually.
It is the natural farm that is my work duty 2 hours monday to friday.
basically we pull weeds, plant seeds, move veggies, harvest lettuce and bok choi ( which i love to say)
we have pineapples, which by the way are grown in the ground
and papaya tree's
and we have our own colony of mosquitos, oh yes
and pigs.. we have a few pigs, which I have named and forgotten, and eaten.. :)
they rescue the golf course from wild boars and bring them to our humble natural farm, we kill them.
circle of life.
soo in order to run a natural farm we make solution instead of fertilizer.
that in itself is like a science experiment.
we collect weeds, put them in the blender with water, strain them, add weird black stuff and bone stuff and mineral stuff, and sugar, ocean water, and regular water. let it sit for 3 days until it stinks and then spray it all over the plants that we later eat.
our leader is a jolly korean man who is actually an amazing chef.
we have lots of koreans here, and i've learned some of the language. a kids song, and some words.
in all honestly, I love going to this farm, and its often the best part of my day.
and if you know me. you will think i've gone insane.
but it really makes me happy when i'm there because its like nothing else.
It's also a really good place to talk, and reflect on my day.
p.s. I wear rubber boots there.
Pretty rubber boots that Mom sent :)
